Why Matcha Wellness

Three reasons cafés switch to us.

In 2025 tencha prices roughly doubled and the biggest names started turning cafés away. We built for exactly this.

01

Supply that doesn't break

Five independent producers across three regions with different harvest windows. When one falls short, another holds. That is the difference between a menu that runs and one that doesn't.

02

No brokers in between

We live in Shizuoka and buy direct from the producers. Fewer hands on the tea means a materially better margin for you on the same quality.

03

Eleven years of proof

Tens of thousands of customers served since 2015, with 8,000+ public reviews behind it. Now that same sourcing is open to businesses.

The range

Five producers. One standard.

Each producer carries its own certifications and its own minimum, applied per grade you order. Your volume pricing is confirmed with your sample kit.

Already selling matcha under someone else's brand?

Put your own name on the bag.

Your branding on 30g/40g tins or 50g–1kg bags. If you're already retailing a packaged matcha brand at the counter, the same product can carry your name instead, at wholesale pricing with the retail margin to keep.

How it works

Simple from first contact.

Most wholesale relationships start with paperwork. Ours starts with matcha.

1

Choose your samples

Mix & matcha across any producers and grades. Not sure where to start? Tell us what you'd use it for and we'll recommend the grades that fit your menu.

2

Taste it on your own bar

10–20g of each grade, or 4 to 10 drinks, so you can dial it in properly on your machine, your milk, your recipe. We email you the full catalogue and pricing when your kit ships, so your numbers are ready.

3

Order when you're ready

3 kg of each grade you choose, sourced to the same spec every time after. The full cost of your sample kit comes off the first invoice.

Questions

Wholesale, answered.

What do the sample kits cost?

Three tiers: A$15 for 3 samples (1 first-flush ceremonial plus 2 latte grades), A$50 for 8 (including 3 first-flush ceremonial grades), or A$100 for all 25 across every producer. Each sample is 10–20g, or 4 to 10 drinks at a typical 2–2.5g dose, so there's enough to dial in a recipe and put it in front of staff or regulars, not just taste it once. The full cost of whichever tier you choose is credited toward your first wholesale order. Want a different mix? Contact us and we'll put together a custom pack.

How fast do samples arrive?

Samples are shipped directly from Japan within 2 business days of payment. Bulk orders are milled fresh to order in Japan, which is why those take longer. You're trading a few extra days for tea that hasn't sat in a warehouse.

What's the minimum order?

3 kg of each grade you order, or 5 kg for Shizuoka II. The minimum applies to each individual grade, not to your order as a whole, and it stays the same on reorders. There's no commitment until you've tasted the kit.

Why payment on order?

Each batch is milled to order, so tea ships fresh rather than from aged warehouse stock. Payment confirms the batch and milling begins. Established accounts can set up standing orders.

How do I choose the right grade?

Tell us the application and we'll recommend. Ceremonial grades suit straight tea and premium bowls; latte and culinary grades are built to hold colour and flavour against milk or in baking. That's exactly what the sample kit is for.

Can I mix grades in one order?

Yes, as many grades and producers as you like. Just note the minimum is per grade: three grades at 3 kg each is a 9 kg order, not 3 kg split between them. Sample kits have no such restriction, so mix those however you want.

Where do you ship, and how long does it take?

Worldwide, direct from Japan. Lead time and freight are quoted with your order based on destination and volume, and we'll advise the most cost-effective method for your size.

What about food safety and certification?

Every producer holds HACCP and FDA. ISO 22000, JAS Organic, Halal and JFS-B certification vary by producer, shown on the certification chips above.

Do you do private label?

Yes. Your branding on 30g/40g tins or 50g–1kg bags so you can retail it at the counter as a second revenue line. You supply the completed packaging designs; printing and packaging costs and lead time are confirmed once all the details are finalised.
